Can you use a moisturizer with benzoyl peroxide?

I’ve been using benzoyl peroxide for my acne but it’s left my skin extremly dry and hard feeling. Can i used a moisturizer like Nivea for Men after using the benzoyl peroxide? If so, how soon after applying the benoyl peroxide can i apply the moisturizer?

of course! when my customers come in with acne and can’t find anything that works for them.. i steer them right to the 2.99 10% benzoyl peroxide gel and then advise they buy a moisturizer to follow.

you can probably use it right away after the benzoyl peroxide has dried but what i advise (and do myself.. my skin has been crystal clear for about 3 years now [i'm 19]) is to apply the benzoyl peroxide after you’ve washed your face at night, and then moisturize after you’ve washed your face in the morning.

it’s really up to you though, whenever you want!

  2. hmmm,
    good question but it depends on your skin type.
    I use pro-activ, and it is the ONLY cleanser/moisturizer that has ever worked for me, but when i first brought it, i went crazy, used it 2 times a day, cleanserand moisturizer, all over my face, and my face did a peeling act. Because it is like bleach, it is made to burn things, but it can have amazing results if you use it right. So only put a dab of the moisturizer on my blemishes ( pimples, etc.) and within 3 days, they’re gone. Or i use cleanser if my skin is terrible, and use a REALLY GOOD MOISTURIZER! cuz it is really drying…
